December 2025 - Major Update!
We're thrilled to announce a major update to Kuula! We've been working hard behind the scenes, and today we're rolling out some game-changing improvements to how you create and manage virtual tours.
A Brand New "Create Tour" Experience
The entire "Create Tour" and "Edit Tour" sections have been rebuilt from the ground up. We kept everything you loved about the original and supercharged it with features you've been asking for and with major UX improvements to make your workflow smoother and faster:
- Multi-file, multi-folder uploads — Drop or select files from multiple folders all at once. No more one-folder-at-a-time limitations.
- Add more anytime — Need to add more photos later? Just head to the tour editor and drop more files in.
- Higher resolution support — PRO users can now upload images up to 32K resolution on supported devices.
- Background processing — Start an upload, switch tabs, grab a coffee. Come back when it's done. Your uploads keep running in the background.
- Reordering — Rearrange your tour with a smooth new drag-and-drop interface. And yes, free users can now custom-order their tours too!
- Multi-select drag — Drag multiple photos at once for lightning-fast reordering.
- 3 view modes — Switch between large grid, small grid, and detail views to edit your tour exactly how you like.
- Edit descriptions inline — Update the description of each photo right in the tour editing phase.
- Data export — Export a CSV file with links to all post in a tour along with descriptions and geo data.

Simplified Privacy Controls
We've streamlined how privacy works for tours:
- Before: Tour privacy was determined by the privacy settings of individual posts — which could get confusing.
- Now: You set the privacy at the tour level, and all posts in that tour follow along. Simple, clear, and predictable.

A Few Changes to Note
As part of this update, we've retired a couple of older features:
- One tour per photo — Photos can no longer be added to multiple tours at once. Don't worry — if you already have photos in multiple tours, they'll stay put.
- New "Move Post" option — Instead, we've added the ability to move a photo from one tour to another with a single click.

Beyond the new features you see today, we've done a major cleanup under the hood — refactoring and modernizing the codebase to make Kuula faster, more reliable, and ready for what's next.
